TL;DR: We aim to make The Canada Report readable, navigable, and usable for as many people as possible. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we welcome feedback.

We want everyone to be able to read and use The Canada Report. We’re actively working toward alignment with WCAG 2.1 AA standards across our website and newsletter.

Accessibility isn’t a one-time checkbox — it’s an ongoing process that evolves as our site grows.

What We Currently Support

Our current accessibility commitments include:

  • Readable text
Clear typography, sufficient colour contrast, and no text-as-image for core content.
  • Keyboard navigation
Menus, links, and interactive elements are designed to be usable without a mouse.
  • Plain language
Short paragraphs, clear headings, and summaries that prioritize understanding over jargon.
  • Motion sensitivity
Minimal animation and no flashing elements that could trigger discomfort.

Known Limitations

Some older posts, third-party embeds, or externally sourced content may not fully meet accessibility standards. When issues are identified, we work to improve or replace them where possible.

Request an Accessible Format

If you need content in a different format, please email info@thecanadareport.ca with:

  • A link to the page or article
  • The format you need (for example: large-print PDF or text-only version)

We aim to respond within two business days whenever possible.
