The union is advocating for increased support staff trained to manage disruptive students, which they believe is crucial for maintaining a safe educational environment. ## Impact on Teachers' Well-being The consequences of this violence extend beyond physical harm. Teachers report stress, loss of sleep, decreased self-esteem, and burnout as common issues. These challenges have led to a significant portion of educators considering leaving the profession, with three out of five survey respondents contemplating such a move.
