## Mississauga Kidnapping Incident Unfolds

A Mississauga man has been arrested in connection with a dramatic kidnapping and assault case that unfolded over a year ago. The incident began on the night of November 27, 2024, when a 26-year-old man was allegedly attacked by four suspects in the area of Windwood Drive and Bucklepost Crescent. The victim was reportedly forced into a Ford F-150 pickup truck, where he endured several hours of assault and threats for money.

## Arrest Made After Extensive Investigation

Peel Regional Police, after extensive investigative efforts, arrested 24-year-old Mohamad Rayyan Dassut on December 4\. Dassut faces multiple charges, including kidnapping with intent to confine, assault causing bodily harm, robbery, extortion, forcible confinement, and possession of property obtained by crime. At the time of his arrest, Dassut was already under probation orders, adding another layer of complexity to the case.

## Victim Released After Ordeal

The victim's ordeal ended near Loyalist Drive, approximately a 15-minute drive from the initial kidnapping location. After being held and assaulted for several hours, the suspects released him and fled the scene. The suspects also stole the victim's phone during the incident. Despite the arrest of Dassut, police continue to search for the three remaining suspects involved in the crime.
